 Scholarship Info

Scholarships for the CFA Program are available on a limited basis through some universities and CFA Institute local Member Societies.  Information about these scholarships can be obtained from the CFA Institute website.

In an effort to attract the best and brightest people to the investment profession, the Nashville Society offers scholarships to promising CFA candidates. Recipients are determined by a selection process that focuses on academic performance, commitment to the profession, as well as other criteria.

CFA CANDIDATE SCHOLARSHIPS

All scholarships for the 2009-2010 cycle will be awarded during the first calendar quarter.

Each year the Nashville Society awards scholarships to CFA candidates. For successful applicants, the CFA Program enrollment fee (if applicable) is waived and the registration fee is discounted. Scholarship recipients pay only the cost of curriculum ($220). Curriculum discounts apply for returning candidates.

Candidates wishing to apply for scholarships during the next cycle should be prepared to respond to the following questions:

- Why do you want to achieve the CFA Charter?

- Briefly describe your current job duties and your length of tenure with the firm.

- Briefly describe your educational background.

- Briefly describe your involvement in activities and organizations.

- Briefly describe your financial need for this scholarship.
